I am Adjunct Professor at Department of Plant Sciences at Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC, 2022 - today). My main research interests are related to Plant Breeding and Experimental Statistics, with emphasis on the development of methods for stability analysis in plant breeding trials.
I’m an active member of the International Biometric Society (IBS), and Brazilian Society of Plant Breeding (SBMP). I’m also a member of the Young Researchers Committee of the Brazilian Region of the International Biometric Society, (JP-RBras) representing the states of RS, SC, and PR.
In my CV, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific production are analysis of multi-environment trials, multivariate indexes, confidence interval for correlation, design of experiments, indirect selection, genotype-vs-environment interaction, mixed models, and genetic parameters.
I have some experience with well-known statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, Statistica, GEA-R, and Gênes, but since my Ph.D. I have dedicated my efforts to R programming. I’ve been working on the development of the R packages metan, designed for checking, manipulating, summarizing, analyzing, and plotting multi-environment trial data, and pliman, designed for analyzing plant images.
